D. Samantha Harris, CCIM is the Program Director, Real Estate Services for The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center (UTMDACC). In this role, she negotiates leases with external landlords, coordinates land purchases/easements and provides guidance to team members concerning real estate contracts and opportunities for the institution. UTMDACC is the number one Hospital for Cancer Care in the Nation. UTMDACC currently administers approximately 16MM square feet of real estate that is owned by The Board of Regents of the University of Texas System.
Samantha’s 23 years of commercial real estate experience spans the private and public sectors in positions including Property Management, Financial Analysis and Asset Management. Nine years of her career was with Crescent Real Estate Equities (formally a publicly traded REIT). She was instrumental in developing lease analysis, financial modeling and reporting systems and fostering joint venture partner relationships for Crescent.
She is on the Planning Committee for the 2018 BOMA International Medical Office Buildings and Healthcare Real Estate Conference. For 2018, she is Vice President of the Association of University Real Estate Officials (AUREO) and Director at Large for the CCIM Houston/Gulf Coast Chapter. Samantha is also a Lean-in Circle Leader at UTMDACC.
Currently, Samantha holds a Real Estate Broker License with the State of Texas and is a CCIM. Samantha has a Master of Business Administration Degree in Management from the University of Houston at Clear Lake. Her Bachelor of Arts is in Economics with a Minor in Math from the University of Texas at Austin.
